ENDURIX FEATURES

SPEED TO OPEN

ENDURIX is formulated to build strength quickly, helping reduce the hidden costs associated with downtime through efficient placement and faster return-to-service timing.

Textured

ENDURIX texture aids in maintaining existing friction, using a higher concentration of premium fine aggregate. The mix design is supported by standard industry testing, giving owners confidence in the product’s friction performance.

ENGINEERED TOUGHNESS

ENDURIX is produced at a central plant and placed without dilution. This controlled production process supports stronger consistency, quality control, and quality assurance.

Color

ENDURIX provides a uniform black finish and is designed to help limit UV-related pavement wear. Its dark appearance also creates strong striping contrast for drivers.

Preparation

On-Site Storage Tanks - When material is supplied from a central mixing facility, the on-site storage tank should be large enough to hold a full transport load. The tank should include an internal full-sweep agitation system capable of maintaining a uniform mix that matches the approved design throughout the tank.

Surface Preparation - Clear the pavement of loose debris, mud, sand, dust, oil, vegetation, and other contaminants. When water is used for cleaning, allow cracks and the pavement surface to dry completely. Review nearby areas to determine what protection is needed for grass, curbs, street ends, and other surfaces to prevent splatter, marking, or overspray.

Application

Two separate coats are required. The first coat must be fully set and free from damp spots before the second coat is placed. Maintain clean, straight edges along gutter lips and shoulders. Keep the application thickness consistent in these areas and prevent material from running off.

Maintain even coverage across the full treatment area. Apply the first coat at 0.10 to 0.15 gallons per square yard. After the second coat, the total recommended application rate should be at least 0.25 gallons per square yard.

Equipment - Approved placement methods include motorized distributors, hand sprayers, and squeegees. Hand sprayers and squeegees may be used where the distributor spray bar cannot reach.

Post Application

Weather Limitations

Temperature - Apply only when both pavement and air temperatures are above 60°F and rising. Do not place material when temperatures are expected to fall below 32°F within 72 hours before or after application.

Moisture - Do not apply the surface treatment during rainfall, when moisture remains on the roadway, or when unfavorable weather conditions are present.

Allow the material to dry completely and confirm the surface has cured to a tack-free condition before allowing traffic or beginning striping.
